1975 Raymond L. Johnson founds R. L. Johnson & Son, Inc. (later to be known as Johnson Employer Support Services) in order to provide temporary contract staffing services to business and industry throughout South Arkansas and North Louisiana. 1999 The decision is made to capitalize on our experience and infrastructure and expand our services into a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) serving primarily the Mid-South region. From our offices in El Dorado Arkansas we currently serve Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Missouri and Alabama. 2003 Johnson Employer Support Services adds J-Checks Payroll Services to its line of administrative services. J-Checks allows companies that, for one reason or another, are not interested or suitable for the co-employment system of a PEO to take advantage of virtually all of the benefits of the Johnson Employer Support Services system.
